Do not treat another 10x increase as the default definition of success. If the company may be near its natural scale, deliberately choose what comes next—continued expansion, durable independence, or a different form of impact.
Chasing growth without a credible path can consume capital, distract the team, and undermine an otherwise valuable company. A clear definition of success helps founders direct scarce resources toward outcomes they genuinely value.
Ask: If our company never became 10x larger, what customer, financial, and real-world outcomes would still make it worth building—and what strategy would best produce them?
