About this book
Opportunity Cost is an unfiltered look at back-stage life of someone who for years did everything in her power to achieve (or at least appear to achieve) it all. It's intended to affirm and to inspire, and at the least to entertain readers that are stuck, confused, or just exhausted from hiding their real selves. With each choice we make, there are opportunities that we forgo, sometimes deliberately and sometimes out of necessity.
Opportunity Cost is a memoir, chronicling life from Russian refugee, through the many forks in the road I've faced, to having the simple, fulfilled and hopeful life that I have today. "My 1970's were filled with one major transition after another. I spent the 80's trying to survive, fit in and stay under the radar. I spent the 90's trying to stand-out, get noticed and win, win, win at everything.
I spent the 2000's catching up to the Jones's and making up for lost time. This decade has been about finding relevance, quieting the mind and about finding my true self." Cindi Basenspiler has 20+ years of dynamic experience as a leader in the US Army, for-profit and nonprofit environments. Cindi is a certified leadership coach and provides coaching for individuals and teams across the country.
